She Sparks Too Incorporated is . a 501 c 3 Nonprofit created to positively empower women through mentorship, education and skills training in order to promote women in the industrial sector of business.

She Sparks Inc . was founded in Decatur, GA to serve as a platform for women in welding and women in industrial fields to network, share, learn and grow together. The American Welding Society predicts that there will be a shortage of 450,000 operators by 2020; She Sparks Too desires to break the gender barriers and present more inclusion and diversity in the welding/manufacturing field, as well as other non traditional careers to create positive employment and income outlooks for women in communities.

So often, women and girls cannot see themselves working in industrial and manufacturing industries due to past beliefs and misrepresentation of the skill sets and the capabilities of women. She Sparks Too Incorporated is determined to BRAND new thoughts of what the industry should look like and welcome a new set of trailblazers!

PURPOSE
She Sparks aims to identify the needs of communities and implement services and programs that encourage:
Education,Self Reliance, Job Readiness and Community Involvement. She Sparks encourages our women to be the leaders and change-makers. Our MENTOR-SHIP and start to finish life coaching services through partnerships in the communities will build self esteem, realize their full potential and strengthen their voice, talent and network as leaders.

​TRAINING:
6-Week welding training to women and men who are underemployed or unemployed. Participants will learn:
STICK Welding 101 (SMAW) and MIG Welding 101 (GMAW) The curriculum will cover topics such as welding safety, personal protective equipment and safety procedures for welding. Our curriculum will also cover welding techniques such as cutting and joining metal, equipment set up procedures and welding quality checks. The training will consist of 8-hour training days with a lunch period around mid-day. Classes will take place 2 days a week.

Result: After completion of the program the sky is the limit in how high that you can advance. Student Workers are prepared for full time jobs or apprenticeships in the welding and trades industries. . You can even go as far as to own your own business. Which will lead to quality employment, better living wage salary, healthcare and career advancement. from the program are

You are responsible for paying for any expenses incurred, However, we are happy to assist you as best as we can.

It Only Takes One Spark!!!
Melonie is the CEO and Founder of Sparksfly Welding and General Repair a woman owned/small business that is Minority Certified by the City of Atlanta. Melonie's was first introduced to welding at the early age of 8 years old by her father, Marion Brown who taught her how to cut and heat and bend metals and would often take her with on various welding jobs with him.
Melonie completed a formal welding program where she received certificates in the following proesses: MIG, TIG, STICK and later received a Welding & Technology Diploma from Georgia Piedmont Technical College in August of 2012.
Melonie is a 3rd generation welder who always aspired to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather and father while creating her own path... She Sparks Too Incorporated is that path!
She Sparks Incorporated was founded in 2019 in Decatur, to EMPOWER other women to think outside the box! We welcome the challenge to BRAND new thoughts of what the welding/ manufacturing industry should look like and welcome a new set of trailblazers! She Sparks Too aims to redevelop confident, self- reliant women through education, encouragement, motivation, and opportunity!!If you are a woman who wants to learn how to weld and rebuild come join us!!!
